Marina Walker Solo Exhibition at Myddelton House Gardens
From the 1st-5th September 2021, I held my debut solo botanical photography exhibition at Myddelton House Gardens in Enfield. My work on show composed of macro floral photos taken during 2020 and 2021 in my garden and local area.
When planning my exhibition I knew Myddelton House Gardens would be an excellent fit for my work. As a nearby garden to me, it has always been a place of relaxation personally and a source of inspiration for my work. Their dedicated Stable Block space had rustic charm and was the perfect location to catch garden visitors before or after their walks.
The Limited Edition works on show were for sale as well as my extensive range of greetings cards which were highly popular.
I had the most delightful conversations with visitors, a lot of them interested by the fact I also turn my hand to gardening and grow many of the plants I photograph. Others took an interest in my background in Art History, revealing that they too are artists in some capacity.
I couldn’t have asked for a more successful first solo exhibition. It was amazing to see such a large collection of my work not on a computer screen but hanging up in real life. I received such high praise and wonderful support that will stay with me for a long time. I am eager to pursue exhibiting my work more, so watch my website for future dates!
